Ingredients for 4 servings
4 whole choice red sweet potato, or 4 slices 2 cm thick
4 tbsp honey
4 cubes Dorot crushed ginger
4 tbsp brown sugar
4 pieces aluminum foil for wrapping each portion
A pinch of black pepper (to add a bit of tang)
1. Mix honey and ginger
2. Place a whole or a slice of sweet potato in the center of each piece of aluminum foil and pour the mixture of honey and ginger equally on each portion.
3. Sprinkle sugar, pepper and cinnamon on top, wrap up tightly, and bake at 2000 for 15 minutes, then turn oven down to 1600 and bake for another 30 minutes.
* When using whole sweet potatoes it is recommended to leave crisscross incisions in them.
